Welcome to the MozTipsWiki, an interactive collaboration space for Mozilla users, fans and supporters. This Wiki is intended to complement the main site, [MozTips.com].

How it works

This collaboration space is probably different from the other types you have seen until now. This is because it is a Wiki.

What is a Wiki? How is it different from other collaborative systems?

A Wiki lets you:

View the information present in it (TableOfContents), as you would on another website.
Review the WikiGuide, to figure out how to use it
Add information (AddInfo) to any page in the Wiki (different - unique to Wikis)
Create a new page (CreatePage?) in the Wiki (also different)
Link to a new page (MakeLink?) you just created (also different, and happens automatically)
Change information (ChangeInfo?) on any page in the Wiki (also different)

How to use this Wiki

I'd suggest you first look around to see what's available
Enter your name in the Preferences, in the form FirstnameLastname (e.g. JaySheth)
Then check out the WikiGuide page to learn more about WikiWords, and adding your own content here.
Before editing any page, please use the SandBox? to try out different things safely, before you post them.

How NOT to use this Wiki

Even if you are not in school any more, do put up with this example for a minute. In school, you were able to write anything on the blackboard - even erase it, while the teacher was writing on it. Most probably, however, you did not. This is because you followed some unwritten rules, such as:

no disrespect
no vandalism

There is also one more rule that applies here, which wouldn't have applied to the classroom: no spam. I have made this Wiki available, because I feel Mozilla users need a common blackboard where they can share their tips, tricks, and ideas. This will only work, however, if we all show each other respect.

Users who delete pages at random or vandalize pages with irrelevant information will be removed from the classroom (er ... Wiki). That means your IP address will be blocked. If this Wiki proves too tiresome to maintain, I will remove it. So, please, pretty please (with sugar on top), be nice, and have fun.
