V. Sending Encrypted Messages from Thunderbird to Webmail / Other Thunderbird (Part V. of V.)

You can also send a message from Thunderbird to a Webmail account (or to another Thunderbird user):

Compose your message as normal in Thunderbird, but when you are done choose "Encrypt this Message if possible" and "Sign Message" from the OpenPGP button:

thunderbird compose encrypted mail

The Webmail recipient can use the GPGTray program to then decrypt the message.

Conclusion:

I hope this set of documents has given you a good overview of the way you can use Mozilla Thunderbird, GnuPG, and the GPGTray programs to send and receive encrypted email.
