Thunderbird 0.6, the latest version of the excellent stand-alone email program has been released.

With Thunderbird 0.5, about three to five spam messages were slipping by Thunderbird's spam filters. With version 0.6, however, all those sneaky messages are now being caught and labeled as spam. This improvement in the spam detection algorithm is really wonderful.

Spammers are becoming more and more clever at avoiding filters - I am glad that Thunderbird is actively fighting back against the onslaught of disgusting spam that I have to deal with every day.

Try out this new version.
