New theme proposed for upcoming Firefox 0.9
Judging from a preview image of the new theme, I think that the original Qute theme is far better than the new Winstripe theme. I have seen friends and family members take one look at Firefox's Qute theme and feel comfortable with it immediately. It makes Firefox look and feel like a Windows XP program.
The subject of a theme is not so much about originality but of usability and familiarity. If mozilla.org were a for-profit organization, its CEO would have instantly recognized that moving away from the Qute theme would displease a large number of its users. Qute has been the established theme for some time now, and it has been well liked. Judging from the multitude of responses at Mozillazine, changing away from Qute would most certainly lead to a decline in the number of Firefox users. And while mozilla.org is not a for-profit company, it still relies to some extent on proceeds from the sale of Firefox CDs. So, thinking of this proposed theme change from a (business-oriented) customer satisfaction perspective - it just does not make sense.
The primary stated reason for moving away from Qute was that Arvid was unwilling to license his Qute theme to be fully compliant with Mozilla's open source nature. But in a recent Mozillazine post, Arvid has stated that he is, in fact, willing to make the necessary licensing changes so that using Qute is not an issue.
From my standpoint as an uninvolved third party, it seems that the decision to implement a new theme was made as substitute to working out differences between the Firefox developers (primarily Ben Goodger) and Arvid.
A rapid transition to a new, untested and unfinished theme can only be a bad thing for Firefox's acceptance and usability.
The problem here does not seem to be a technical one: it is an inter-personal, human one. Rather than running out and having a new theme made, it would have been far more productive to have worked with Arvid to work out the existing licensing issues.

Now, the gathering of a stack of copper took me about just 15 minutes, which is equivalent to about 6-8 gold/hour. For a low level character, this basic strategy is a more efficient ?C and predictable ?C way of generating gold than trying to grind wow gold endless mobs. To continue with this example, my Gnome alt used his newly acquired gold wisely, bought and sold a number of selected items from the Auction House and soon built up his stash to 25 gold coins and a few silver in loose change! If you have not mastered the Auction House, I would recommend subscribe to my free e-guide listed below where tips on Auction House are given.
